The internet has been the invention that has revolutionised the way information is created and disseminated. There is so much information on the internet about such a large variety of things, that it can be a bit daunting!
If it is entertainment you're looking for, whether it is movies, music, books, plays, and what have you, you are quite likely to find it on the internet in some form. Depending on the model of distribution, some of the content could be free, and some might be for sale.
For example, if you wish to listen to music or watch documentaries onine, it wouldn't take you more than a couple of minutes to find a resource where you can do this! Some of the sites that host media even offer content for free and make their money with advertising.
Some sites such as iTunes, require you to pay per download. And of course, there is peer to peer file sharing, which can be illegal and more importantly ethically unsound. It may provide a free alternative for acquiring media, but it deprives the very industry that produces the content of its fair share of rewards.
Entertainment is all around us today, from our smart little phones, to other gadgets which are too many to even contemplate; almost everything in the modern world is capable of supporting media of all kinds.
